Dr. Alex Brothers MD, CCFP(EM)(SEM) is a Canadian Trained Medical Doctor with Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) and Special Competencies in Emergency Medicine (EM) and Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) from the Canadian College of Family Pratice.  He has over 25 years in practice and is currently the Chief of Staff and Emergency Departement Director at the Saanich Peninsula HopsitalClinical Program.

In addition to his Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine Practice, Dr. Brothers has 20 plus years of Sport and Exercise Medicine.  He has been the National Team Physician for the Canadian Cross Country Ski Team and the Canadian National Swim Team. For six years he worked for Rebalance Sport Medicine, in Victoria BC, alongside Orthopedic Surgeons, Physiatrists, and Rehabilitation Specialists, assessing and managing patients with arthritis and exercise related injury and illness.
